Welcome to Roz Thomas Physiotherapy

Roz Thomas M.C.S.P, S.R.P, MSc

Roz is dedicated to finding out what is causing your pain or weakness and is committed to finding a solution to your problem.  Both with her physiotherapy skills in the sessions, and by educating you in possible changes to your daily routine, Roz wants to ensure your body functions in the most efficient way, to enable you to achieve your personal best.

Roz works in the NHS a few hours a week, and has a good rapport with local GP’s.  She is happy to communicate with them, or other health care professionals to give you a multidisciplinary approach to your treatment.

Roz has access to the PETROC fitness centre with her clients.  Therefore many end stage treatment sessions can be held in there instead of her treatment room.

Roz owns her own diagnostic ultrasound machine, (a screen to show you the movement of superficial structures underneath the skin).  This isn’t beneficial for any deep structures, but compliments her full assessment and can give you a more accurate diagnosis that you can see for yourself.   Roz also owns a treatment ultrasound machine, and uses hands on treatment modalities, alongside taping techniques.  But be prepared to go away with some advice or exercises to work on in between sessions!

Services

Roz is more interested in long term recovery from pain, rather than a quick fix. Therefore an initial assessment (1 hour) is necessary for all new patients. After which 30 minute treatments sessions which can include massage treatments maybe the best option for you.
